In the beginning of 2025, I discovered some art by Nara Yoshitomo
and his figures inspired me for the title of my next compilation: “Carefree”
Happy, whistling music that beams you into shalala land, disturbed by a little devil
that persistently tries to piss you off.
At that time, I correlated the little devil to the stupid wars going on, not knowing
that my daddy is going to pass away in May.
After that shock, it was clear that the “disturbance” on the compilation will
be dedicated to my daddy. How:
Our local conductor Andrea mentioned that my daddy years ago donated a musical piece
to the orchestra, but it never made it on their “playlist”. In the end, it was the last piece played by the orchestra at my daddy's church service - it was beautiful and very sentimental.
Now: Whenever I listen
to “Waltz No. 2” I hear and see him in front of me playing the trombone solo.
On the 12.12.25 it would have been his 84th birthday ...
How do you get over a shock like this? Music is definitely a good
remedy.
Njoy music!
